There are some good domains listed here for sale. I can’t handle anymore domains cause I just renewed a bunch of domains that have only been sitting for two years and never developed to a full site. It’s important to at least publish one article or page to a domain so that it gets indexed and gets age because that is what matters in the eyes of Google.

Absolutely, you have to have strict guidelines, otherwise you will be bombarded with tons of trash.
I have a blog that ended up with hundreds of trashy comments because I was not careful about who I allowed to comment.
You have a quality site and I appreciate it.

I’m taking every opportunity to meet as many people as I can from online, in person. No big deal, like I said above, even waving works! There’s just something about seeing someone in person that makes all of this more real.

Hi Anne,

I’ve come across the same all across the world, unfortunately. My parents came and visited us in Israel this month and after looking at some of the guest house websites we decided to just squeeze everybody in rather than have them spending an unknown amount on “extras”…

Also can’t understand those websites that don’t work in Firefox or don’t have an English page…losing some potential customers right at the door…

And yes, I hear you on the “Starting at” – then you find out it’s just for two people on the cheapest day of the year. Oh, and always quoting the price without taxes sucks too.

I actually came across the same thing, from a different angle, while writing a post to my travel blog.

I wanted and did add a link to a motel I slept in along the way. The motel was great but the website does not specify rates.

I still feel this beats out the whole ‘rates starting at $XX’ which miraculously always end up as $XXX a night for the dates you need. That just frustrates me to no end. And naturally, those hotels have the sites that take the longest to load and you will only see the correct rate after several pages of details entered.
