You’re so right about those ideas popping up when you have nothing to record them with. My husband uses his cellphone to record ideas. I feel a bit too self-conscious to do that myself, but might be time to get over this.

Right now I have 7 active blogs but the one that is my flagship takes up the most time (ironically it is the least profitable). I don’t use a spreadsheet but do have a “plan” for each of the blogs, specifically frequency of posting as well as other marketing for each one.

I do find juggling the lot challenging though and chalk it up to my relative new “business” status as a blogger/internet marketer. I am sure that the more I do, the more efficient I will become.

… and it is amazing how often an idea for a post pops up at the most inappropriate places, i.e., no pen or paper at hand (usually driving) and the equally amazingly, the idea evaporates when those very same tools are handy

I have 4 blogs, which 2 of are niche blogs that are lacking something. Thanks for your tips. I definitely need some help in this area as a newbie. As I keep searching, I am finding some great pointers from those whom have forged the path ahead.

8 or 9 at the moment. Working hard on managing all of them but most of them are just started last december. Talking about the spreadsheet I find it boring so I keep a list of blogs in my mind only(sounds weird hmmm.)

First of all, you are killing me with the chocolate..LOL:)

I only manage one blog at the moment, but have contemplated perhaps upping the ante and starting a couple more. It sounds like you ave a pretty good system for managing all of yours. A spreadsheet is definitely the way to go otherwise too much time would be spent asking ones self “hmm now what’s next?”

I don’t consider myself the most organized person in the world… you should see my household on a regular day Writing things down and making lists does help me organize my work though – while leaving room for creativity. In fact, set up the time to “creativity” – time to read other people’s blogs, interact, visit forums etc.

I went to this shrink once, who specialized in behavioral-cognitive therapy. The techniques he taught me all involved writing things down on paper. Apparently, somehow the process of writing makes the brain process ideas on a much deeper level.

It’s true, but one thing I have learned from experience – never save your passwords in a spreadsheet if it’s not password protected. A few years ago, I somehow ingested a keylogger and someone somehow got access to my websites spreadsheet and started hacking away. Had to change passwords on over 200 sites… and fix a bunch too.
